Lance turned 5 today!! He is my crazy surprise that I
can't imagine living with out.

Him and his crazy friend Garrett spent the day playing,
going to jumping jacks, and having Ice Cream!

We are so grateful for good friends!

There are days when I look at my life as it is now, and can not believe how blessed I am.
I am the luckiest woman. I am blessed more than I can put into words.
How grateful I am to have a Heavenly Father who knows me and knows
what is best for me. He lead me into the arms of the most wonderful man. He is the most unselfish, hard working, dedicated person I know. The thing that blows me away is that he chose me!

March 19th is a great day around our house. Conner became a full fledged teenager! Wait did I just say great???
He is a character, and keeps us on our toes here! We love him tons. Happy Birthday!

Sydney got herself a new punk rock look. I dropped her off at the salon
told the gal what ever she wanted she was old enough to decide. When I picked her up
this is what I found. I don't hate it, it is just not anything that I expected.
It fits her though, such a cute girl.
This is a very long blog, Brian's mom
decided that it was time we all had
family pictures taken. Our kids are growing up so fast!!

Ok seriously, I am getting old. I really did try and loose 5lbs before this got done.
Obviously it didn't work. I just LOVE my Pepsi!!

Conner is so handsome I must say. Why does his actions
not always match this?

Jake is our sports star. He is ten months younger then Conner,
but he thinks he is much older, you know with the "ladies"

Jed, he is just plain crazy. I don't think we have ever had pictures
taken where he hasn't had bruises on his face. Wait, I think this may
be the first.

Bailee, she really is ten years old. She is such a sweetheart. Tiny yes,
but a sweetheart!!

This is my family, a family bigger then I ever thought I would have.
They are all such good kids, I am truly blessed!

Lance, he is our mix of personality kid. From one word to
the next you never know what you are going to get with him.
He keeps us on our toes!! So much fun to have around!!

Ms Savanah, the oldest of the bunch. She just does not
come around enough, we so enjoy her when she does!
So that's us in a nut shell, we are big and loud, and blessed, very very blessed
to have each other.

Jake turned twelve this year.
We now have 2 young priesthood holders in our family.
It is such fun to see them in action. Passing the sacrament, or collecting fast offerings.
Our kids are growing up way to fast.

We have just not had enough BIG snow falls.
Brian was shoveling, and Conner would not leave him alone so Brian took care of that. It was so beautiful that day. I love it when it snows so much that everything is covered. You can play outside and it's not that cold. I just love how everything looks.

We went to my sisters house for dinner on Sunday and took some pictures to send my dad who is on a mission in Nauvoo This is just a part of the 25 grand kids! We all don't fit in the same house at the same time!!!

The kids also wrote letters and drew pictures to send them! Fun Sunday activaty!!

This year Halloween was a lot of fun, the weather was beautiful the kids had a great time. Lance kept saying "This is the best Halloween in my ENTIRE life!!!

My sisters and I don't see each other near enough and we all live in Utah County!
How hard is it?
They are beautiful and I love when we get together.

My girl is growing up!! I don't think I am ready for what comes next!!! Her and her friends just get more gorgeous everyday!!

Can't they stay little for a while longer? Our babies are in school!!

Summer fun!!!!

I can not believe it is the middle of July already. Where has the summer gone?
Finally with the rain stopping and the sun coming out to stay we have been enjoying ourselves at the pool. The kids are such fish everyone of them loves to be in the water. I am having a great time with the kids this summer, usually i work a lot during the summer, but this year I cut back to 2 days a week , and loving every minute of it. Love the sun, love the heat, LOVE the kids and there care free spirits, they help me stay young!!!

Lance has turned four. He is so funny. All day on his birthday we would ask him if he is 4 now, and he kept telling us "No not until I blow out the candles!" What a funny kid. I guess we should have had cake for breakfast

Bailee had her first Hershey Track meet this week and she did a great job.

She ran in the 50 meter and in the 100 meter races. She is a good little runner

She was going to do the Softball throw but while she was waiting her turn she was stung by a be on her thumb. Maybe next year!

Just some random things I thought I would share.
Can you guess what time of year it is???? Yes Pine Wood Derby time. This is all of my family and all of Kristines family totally mesmerized by what Chuck and Brian are doing to get the cars ready.

YES they really have them tied to the treadmill and are "priming" them for the big race!!!

Not a very clear shot, sorry, but a bunch of us went to dinner to say SEE YA to oor good friend Jana. We will miss not having her right next door!!

And finally my dad and his wife left a few weeks ago on a mission. They are in Navoo and loving every minute of it... so I hear!!!

So I have worked in the Dental profession for going on 18 years now, I know how important good oral hygiene is really I do. So why is it that I have the worst teeth ever? Last week I took an x-ray of a tooth that was bothering me off and on for awhile now. We see a little area of suspicion but nothing too alarming. Give the girl some anti-biotic and she is good to go!!! Yeah not so fast! So yesterday I take another x-ray (this is less then a week later) and oh my gosh my tooth is completely fractured in half!!! OUCH!!! Nothing can be done except to extract the dang thing. And I am here to say PAINFUL experience!!! Please - extracted teeth, bridge work, whats next DENTURES!

You all may or may not know this about me, but i am the worlds biggest hermit. I enjoy staying home in the warmth of my house. I hate more than anything to be cold. I hate it!!!! It is ok with me not to go out and socialize and be cheery. I get migraines often, and am ok with just being left alone to do nothing but read, or do a crossword puzzle, or put a puzzle together or watch t.v. I am ok with that!!!!!!! Brian however is not, he thinks I am lame.

So this last Saturday Chuck called and said he wanted us to go wheelin up in the mountains in the snow!!! I had already had a migraine for 2 days, (honestly I had already bummed hard drugs off my sister in law to try and kill it). That did not help! I had a basketball game to go to with Conner, I do not own a stitch of winter clothes, and most importantly I DID NOT want to go.

Brian would not take no for an answer and made a big deal about it. He made me go. No winter coat, no snow pants, and a pair of boots that were two sizes to small. Me not very happy!!!

Lance completely decked out in winter clothes loving it not having a care in the world!!

Well despite the huge migraine that got worse with the extremely bumpy ride, and the feet that were numb because they were in boots to small. The ride was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and it truely was nice to get out of the grimey smog down here. Thanks Brian for not taking NO for an answer.

So I am excited for
CHRISTMAS this year, I am not usually one to put up my tree real early, but this year it had to be done. This tree (up top), while not a very good picture is the tree I have every year. It is small, only about 5 feet tall, and it is my favorite tree, it is packed with every ornament that is kid related. Whether it is one they were given by a grandparent, or (my favorite kind of ornament) one they made.It is full of kids pictures, their hobbies, their interests. I love this tree!!! However my entire adult life I have wanted a tree that is decorated with ribbon, and beautiful (in a different way) ornaments, a big girl tree! Now you have to see it at night lit up to truly see the beauty. Brian gave in this year and let me get one. I love him !!!! Ilove the tree!

Thanksgiving is upon us, and I have much to be grateful for!

This past week I was reminded,(with the passing of a dear friend) how short time is, and how precious family is, and most importantly how true the gospel is.

As hard as it was for this part of my family to loose their mom,wife,grandmother; they were amazingly strong, and I could feel the love they had for their Savior; they knew that this separation would only be for a short time, and they clung on to that as the funeral went along. Many beautiful things were said about their mom, and I hope they know that many prayers are still coming their way.

So there are days in my life (as well as all of yours out there I am sure of it) where I just look around at my kids and house and life in general and go:

"oh my gosh what did I sign up for?????"

But then you have those sweet moments when you sit back and say this is what it's all about!! You know those moments. Sometimes you can't even put words to them, you just have them and they put a smile on your face. Well I am so thankkful for those days.

Does the time change bother any one else???? I don't really think it's the time change it self as it is the darkness. It depresses me!! Now I know that I am not an outside person all the time, but I do not like the fact that it is dark so early. I work a couple of days a week and on those days it is black outside when I get off, and I'll be honest in my life darkness means pj's!!!!!!!

So I have a BROTHER I know this may come as surprise to some that know me I may not have mentioned him before, but it is true. He has 3 really great kids, 2 teen age girls and a 10 year old boy. Well we had the pleasure of having Kerrick over Saturday to hang out with all our boys for the day. They rode motorcycles, played, rode motorcycles, hung out, thay had a blast. we were glad to have him.

Every year we go to the RED BARN in Santaquin. We take a wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch so the kids can choose their own pumpkins. I think every year the cost of the pumpkins goes up. Grandma and grandpa always buy the kids their pumpkins, but I think they might reconsider next year-or at least limit the size of pumpkin they can choose. Almost every grandchild ended up with a $7.00 pumpkin! OUCH!!! But the kids love it and love going with grandma and grandpa!!! Thanks for a FUN day!!!

FALL IS HERE

I must say that FALL is my favorite season!! When I look outside and see the mountais and how beautiful they are I am so grateful for this place that I live!!

We live in the most beautiful state and country in the world. These pictures don't really do the beautiful colors justice. We took a ride up the canyon too see the colors, but as we got out of the car it started to rain, and Lance didn't want anything to do with the rain. So this is the best I got. You only have to look outside though to see just how beautiful it really is!!

So I think I get on the blogger site almost everyday. Do I have anything new on mine? No it has been awhile. I don't know why, things have been going on that I am sure you are all dying to know about, but too bad apparently I just like finding out about everyone else!!!

What we did on our "SOMMER" vacation

This past week we took our one trip for the summer. We meaning as many of the Sommer clan as we could get together. We spent 5 days down on the Piaute trail. We stayed at Big Rock Candy Mountain. We camped, rode four wheelers. (170+ miles)

We had an amazing time.

Uncle Jeremy from San Diego came, Grandpa and Grandma Sommer came, Chuck & Kristine and the kids came. We had a blast.

If you haven't been there and like to camp you should give it a try!!

By the way.... if anyone knows a good single gal we could set Jeremy up with let me know! He is a great guy!!!

A big thanks to grandma and grandpa for sharing their pool this summer. We ALL went swimming on this very hot day and it is so much easier keeping track of everyone when you are the only ones there!

Well here they are..... the kids that make up the Sommer/Jensen clan! There is never a dull moment, as you can imagine, with all these kids keeping us on our toes. With two 13 year old girls-no- !!TEENAGERS!! there is always some kind of drama going on. Then the 11 year old, 10 year old, and 9 year old boys there is always a game too go to, or a motorcycle to ride. We must not forget the 8 year old girl who just wants to play and play and not be bothered. And of course who can forget the 3 year old whom, I will admit, runs the show around here.

Even though times are busy for us we know they are just as busy everywhere else. We are truely a very blessed family (thanks dad for the verbage).
